We've just jump started our B-movie production and need to cast our lead actress ASAP! We're specifically looking for someone who's part white and part asian in their mid 20's but we're willing to tweak the character slightly for the right candidate.

The movie's called Aberrant Behavior, a term the Motion Picture Association of America uses to describe any content in a film that isn't classifiable as violence or sexuality but is bizarre enough to warrant a severe rating and this one has tons of it. It's about two street kids suffering from pica, a rare psychological disorder that, in real life, compels people to ingest things that aren't actually edible like dirt, coffee grounds, nails, etc. But we take it to a fantastical level with the main characters getting high off anything they can get their hands on like drano, bleach, antifreeze, etc. and use it as a metaphor for drug addiction and alcoholism. The main characters fall into a codependent and self destructive relationship using each other to exercise their demons of alienation from society but ultimately destroy themselves in the end. Think Leaving Las Vegas if it was a Troma film, Sid and Nancy on acid...you get the picture.

If this sounds like something you'd be in to, ask yourselves these questions...

Do you love cult films? Horror films? Horror-romance film? Drugged out films?
Do you love gore? Debauchery?
Do you love fucked up extreme or trashy films in general? Do you really want to star in one?
Do you live/can work in the bay area?
Can you start working immediately? I mean immediately.
Are you okay with nudity/sexuality and some bizarre and disgusting behavior?
(It's called Aberrant Behavior, after all)
Maybe you prefer it?
Are you not shy? Maybe a little bit of an exhibitionist?
Do you have a pretty open schedule to start shooting?

Can you work for 125 dollars a day plus food and a negotiated percentage of the profits?

Can you do basic make up for your part and the other lead? That'd be a bonus for us.

'm making a film, that will be somewhat explicit in parts. Also, there will be imagery that needs nudity.
I am afraid that I will not be able to cut the content of the movie script, even if I find actors interested .You can e-mail me with rates, photos, questions, etc. If your an actor or actress who has worked in nudity and/or sexual situations, is comfortable with it, and would like to take on a feature narrative film as a major role please e-mail me or show up to the auditions. The two main roles are the ones that require it but there are others. Here is the plot:
Aberrant Behavior, is basically about two self destructive anarchistic-y street kids who have an exaggerated form of pica, a disorder where people feel compelled to eat non-food materials, carpet, dirt, soap, drano, various chemicals, etc. as portrayed as a drug addiction. Who are in a very self destructive relationship, there perfect for each-other except they literally kill each-other by being together. A lot of psycho-sexual/self mutilation-masochism in this one.There's more to it, but that's the basic synopsis.

Keep in mind the budget of this movie will probably stay around 25-35, 000 dollars (already secured), so just warning I can't pay the highest rates

I have a new movie called "Aberrant Behavior" auditioning Sat. 1/19 3:30-6:3- at the Dark Room SF 2263 Mission off of 19th and Mission@ 3:30 - 6:30. (My first movie "the period" came out through Sub Rosa Cinema can be seen/bought at Netflix www.myspace.com/theperiodmovie as well as various other outlets)
Aberrant Behavior, is basically about two self destructive anarchistic-y street kids who have an exaggerated form of pica, a disorder where people feel compelled to eat non-food materials, carpet, dirt, soap, drano, various chemicals, etc. as portrayed as a drug addiction. There's more to it, but that's the basic synopsis. If you can't make it to the auditions, you can send me a head shot with resume, or whatever you want. We can then decide when and where to meet.

I will be hiring for many roles, all ages (over 18) races, sizes, etc. But here are the main characters:
Main Characters:
Victor Muertos: (Mid to late twenties) Half Mexican/Half white (Half latino/half white will probably work). Black hair, down to chin and five o clock shadow. (Flexible though). Tall and thin but not too thin.
Dark, brooding, depressed, prone to long winded sarcastic, cynical rants. Living off the state for mental depression, and addiction, but eventually breaks himself from the state. He hates the state, and normal life in general. He hates almost everything. He is sort of sloppy hipster, slightly emo, slight slight slight goth meets street kid. Light or no body mod, piercings, etc. He eventually lives on the street because of choice.He falls in love with Aiko.

Aiko Zumbi (18-early twenties or look like it) Half Japanese/Half German (or Japanese, or half Japanese/Half white). Shorter than Victor, thin but still slightly curvy.
Street kid with a bit of dark hippie. Has been sexually abused as a child. Prone to violence. Prone to long winded rants, or sometimes just total silence. Dark, cynical, with a very bleak view of life. Body mods, tattoo's, piercings, fine. Dreaded or colored hair fine as well. Actually preffered.
She falls in love with Victor.

Emma May (20's to 30's) Actress must be thin, because character is anorexic. Very fake, superficial, manic laughing. Very self deluded. She doesn't really see her anorexia as a problem, she think she looks great though she's obviously dieing and goes to extremes to keep herself thin. She is always dressed up elegantly and thinks of herself as a proper lady even when doing something grotesque . She is a head executive at a advertising/pr firm that she gets a Victor a brief job at, through meeting him in a class over there mutual addictions. (Brief Nudity /Partial a few times)

Caseworker Joe (30's-40's) Written has hispanic, but open. Larger guy, tall, built like a shed, a bit fat but not flabby fat. Very coarse, to the point, direct "Take no shit" kind of guy. Very normal, buys into the whole big house in the suburbs, good job, etc. He is Victor's Caseworker, and is tired of Victor's Shit, and believes he is not trying to quit. (None)

Glitters- a gay gangster rapper, take everything that's a cliche and horrible about it and flip it so that it's gay (some, will also need male models)

Pedida Muertos-Victors Mother. A nearly catatonic morally apprehensive drug addict who's always sleeping with random guys and ignoring her child (Some nudity/sexual situations can be negotiated to less)

And then random visuals, nudes for some flashback scenes (of some sort of psuedo porn the main characer shot) a girl that Victor sleeps with before he falls in love with Zumbi (requires brief nudity/sexuality) and some body part imagery that will not feature the face of the actor/actress, among other thing

I need before I even start:
Prostethetics/Makeup- There are many parts of my movie that need gore, ghoulish makeup or creating body casts for dreamlike effect (like a scene where they fall onto the ground and break like porcelain blood-paint spraying out of them creating a heart) but most importantly I need someone who can help make someone look anorexic, eye sockets reccessed , hips sticking out, ribs sticking out, shoulder blades, etc. I can't start without this because it's one of the main characters.

Boom-I have someone lined up for operating boom/mixing sound, but I'm not sure he'll always be available. I need someone who has at least some experience in this to help. I have equipment but having (better?) equipment would be great.

Props- It would be great to have someone who can assist in creating edible (or non toxic) chemicals, substances, materials for the main characters to ingest. It would also free me up to think about other things.

Lighting/ Art Department/ Set Design/Decoration/Locations- I need someone who can do a lot without a lot who can work with unusual materials. Who isn't too expensive or I won't be able to afford you. Also may be able to transform other locations into desired location.Things needed for instance underground bomb shelter turned into run down sorta apartment. Abandoned buildings. Offices. Fashion Show. A sewer, where the characters live in and eat off of trash.

Set Decorators/Builders:
Though the majority of the movie will be in real locations. There will be a few sets built, and sets that will be decorated to fit the movie. I am looking for people who have experience building sets (theater experience would be great) on a low budget. Resourcefullness in materials is needed (Meaning you can do a lot with not a lot). Building flats, painting, decorating.

Prosthetics/ Make-Up: Though this is not a gore horror movie. There is quite a few instances of gore. People who have experience in mold making, prostethics, sculpture. etc. would be very helpfull. Also people good at making people looking sickly or malnourished through make-up needed. In addition Emma May, the severe anorexic will need added pieces to protrude her brows and jaw, her ribs, collar bones, hip bones, etc to make herself appear much thinner. Actually a lot of make up needs from simple to complex through out the movie.

Vfx-Compositors- Though this will not be a special effects epic, there will be things needed. Good flashy two animations/composting for some of the fake commercials/promos. Possible fire and underwater animation. Some manipulation of the video -color fluctuations, shrinking an enlarging, simple morph effects, color globules to represent visual aberrations in the characters eye-sight. Some 3-D needed especailly those who are good working with modeling human figures. But mostly more simple 2-D basic 3-D stuff. I may do this myself, but send me a link to your work, and I might hire you for the movie.

Props: I will be doing much of this myself, but may need help in re-creating chemicals, materials, such as drano, soap, dirt, carpet, many other instances through-out the script, to create realistic looking edible (or at least non toxic ) substitutes for the substances they swallow.

Mechanical/Puppetry- Not needed for a lot of the movie. But there is a few scenes with Emma Mays giant snake like tape worm that slithers around. Also a scene where skull bowls start vomiting (have to read script to explain) Could do myself, just seeing if anyone else might be interested.

Lighting Designer: Though I will likely take over this role myself, and a lot of the footage will be shoot in the streets style. There will be a few locations that will be staying in for a long while in the script, and would like good, stylized lighting for maximum creepy effectiveness.

Costume: I already have a few people on board for this, but as this movie ends in a big Valentines Day Fashion Show. I am looking for people who could be commisioned for clothing for that event (and other sequences in the movie as well). Also, previously made pieces could work.

Underwater Camera- Anyone who would like to rent me an underwater camera, or who has experience filming underwater, this is needed for a few sequences.

Boom Mic/ Sound Mixer- I already have someone onboard for this, but never hurts to have a second position, or a backup

Pyro/ Fire Safety/Explosion - This really isn't needed for a lot of the movie. But there is one scenes where a whole room catches on fire (with possible stuntman that catches on fire, I made do this in special effects). There is another scenes where a home-made bomb blows a crack into a wall and makes it crumble. I want these scenes to come off effective and safe.

Security- Not throughout the whole movie, but there will be scenes where I will be filming in potentially dangerous locations, and a climax that will need crowd control

Legal/ Locations- I will probably do this myself, but if anyone has experience in finding or knowing of great locations, or securing permits for locations. I might be interested in working with you.

Production Assistants/Co-Ordinaters (I am sure you know what this means)

Music- I have most of the music worked out. But a band fell out that I really felt I needed for some sequences. If your music is post -rocky, slow core or has that aphex twin meets godspeed you black emperor I may be interested. The kind of bands I'm looking for: Mew, Godspeed you black emperor, Explosions in the sky, Spiritualized, 65 days of static, Sigur Ros. Also in some music Portis-Heady could work.

What is well worth the price of admission is the breathtaking opportunity to see a circus staged in your lap. The antique-mirrored Spiegeltent set up in Miami Beach's Collins Park is such an intimate venue that you are in genuine danger of getting kicked in the head by an aerialist if you stand up without warning.

There are bawdy clowns Gazillionaire and Penny, the languorous lounge singer Kaye Tuckerman and the delightfully droll stripper Julie Atlas Muz, who joyfully poses inside a huge balloon like a winsome kewpie doll.

But the reward is being a few feet from a parade of acrobats, aerialists and athletes who are living celebrations of what talent, strength, training and discipline can produce using the human body as raw material.

You can hear the creak of leather in their costumes, see their sweat, virtually feel their muscles straining as they make their bodies do things you cannot even dream of doing no matter how much a gym rat you may be.

After dropping off a teddy bear with an audience member, pajama-clad Olaf Triebel executes seemingly impossible handstands atop a series of rods — and yes, he's pretty hot when his PJ top comes loose.

Marieve Hemond and Annie-Kim Dery perform an intricate acrobatic pas de deux in, over and around a sort of cage suspended in mid-air — and yes, there's a subtle hint of lesbian love going on here. Raphaelle Boitel sinuously twists around a cylindrical jungle gym and then turns an overstuffed armchair into an athlete's playground. Adil Rida performs a Cirque du Soleil-type act twisting around in hanging straps.

But Absinthe puts its own wacky spin on the traditional circus. Witness Nate Cooper, a clownish drunk in formalwear on roller skates who seems barely able to stay on the tiny stage. But by the end of his carefully choreographed act, he has changed into a woman's dress and high heels, bounces on a pogo stick and juggles three large sharp-looking knives. P.T. Barnum would be proud.

Absinthe has been performed for two summers in New York City and this is first time the producers have taken it on the road. The run will last into mid-February; the impresarios will start a midnight show Jan. 4 starring Gazillionaire and Penny and a changing roster of local acts.

It's a social-cultural history of circuses in these here United States (starting in 1841 w/ P.T. Barnum). I feel deep empathy for the poor guy who got his bike stolen,..
but this is pretty much every reason why I hate caco's and their clown contingent,

Though, to be fair, the guy who did the bike stealing and drunken punching, seems like a decent enough fellah, Assuming it is who I assume it is, and basing my opinion of him mainly on my opinion of the people he hangs out with,.. none of whom I really have any right to have any kind of an opinion on one way or another inthe first place.

It is a given, we all do stupid shit drunk,.. and though it would suck a great deal to have one of your most important and treasured possesions mugged off of you during your hippy drunken desert naked body paint vacation, My personal bitch isnt about that.

My littany here is more about the general attitude that so many "Alternative clowns" seem to have, which this deeply reminiscent of. It is the whole "let's dress up in crazy uniforms so no one can recognize us, get drunk , and run around making asses of ourselves" attitude that the caco's all seem to share.
(it's the basis of the whole cacophonist structure it seems)

Not like that isn't fun, It is, but your clown life can't consisnt of only that.
If you eat nothing but beer nuts you will die shortly after many many painful stools.

You can't be a healthy well rounded grease paint bad ass if that is your only real goal.

Ultimately, It aint funny if no one is laughing, damnit.
And that's your fuckign job, to be funny.

Humor is the method all pack oriented mammals share for self correction.

It is the tool we use to admonish members of the pack who are violating our social contract by doing something that endangers the tribe.
When someone violates our taboo's where bear our teeth and bark, (like all other pack oriented mammals),.. and if they continue we drive them from the pack.

It is why humiliation is such a strong motivating factor.

Clowns exist to volutarialy take the role of taboo breaker on themselves,
to step outside of polite society and break our stupider rules.

In doing this they bring the rest of us together as a pack,.. give us a feeling of strength and well being and security, in that we are the barkers and the the barkie.

And if they do their jobs well, the clown then, in violating our taboo, shows us how stupid it was to begin with, and in doing so cures us of it.
By removing our taboos we are removing the tools that media, government and industry use to constrain and manipulate our society.

Your job, is to cure society of it's stupidity, by taking that stupidity on yourself and making us laugh at it.

Being a clown isnt about "freaking the squares", Our power (read power as "influence over society and control over our audience" power, not as some "hippie-emo-psuedo msytical earthmommy menstration worship" type power) is rooted in this devious courage.

When you voluteer to stand out side of your culture, to be the target of admonishment and humiliation, for the sake of making society stronger, you are given a certain amount of leeway to accomplish that goal.
We allow clowns a free riegn across our social boundries to better perform their function,.. but the deal is, they are supposed to make us better human beings in the process.

But too many caco fucktards see this freedom as free lunch and run about with their cocks tucked and their blood alchohol levels making decisions for them.

Crass, violent, abusive humor is only funny if the audience is laughing,..
just being an ass isnt enough.

There is nothing new unusual or surprising in this kind of caco bullshit to generate the humor of discovery,.. you are not geting the humor of empathy from screaming and yelling and pissing yourself (well maybe from pissing yourself),.. it isn't even the humor of malevolence, it's just being a dipshit.

The person who participated in this one specific drunken pissfest I understand was clam-ignorant drunk at the time and has attempted to make ammends since then,
but so many caco style clowns seem to stink of this same new cultural onasma.

Damnit,.. if your gonna be violent and freakish and disturbing,.. at least be completely brilliant and amazing in the process (see rik mayal and adrian edmunson for a couple of obvious examples,.. or possibly penn and teller, or the amazing johnathon,.. or even mother fucking emo phillips damnit),.. or it just more tedious joey crap,..
(joey in the fratboys in baseball hat sense and no in the joeseph grimaldi sense)

So on a final note,
even as "alternative" clowns,
hell especially as "Alternative" clowns, you have aduty to be funny.
Take some fucking risks,.. do somehting new if y u can find it, but sweet zombie jesus, fucking BE funny.

Hi every one I need some help here. I am working on candy hearts for my up coming solo show and I just got a call form the candy maker rejecting my sayings.
Their problem was that they did not want to offend any one who would be making the hearts. I was shocked that they rejected them they where not that bad, at-least I did not think so.
here is what I had
tie me up
spank me
take it off
eat me
lets get freaky

the funny thing is the one I thought they would reject , Lets get freaky is the only one they did not. go figure I thought that was worse than the rest.

I need some good sayings that I can slip by them. I would like them to be some what fetish in nature and I have only 3 lines with 6 characters on each line.

This sunday night

Odd as it may seem I am doing my first ever now pow Knotty Klown! performance at a troma thing in a porno theater (the kind with seats in rows and a (small) big movie screen screen and the works, where they normally show gangbang videos to middle aged men and trannies walk around giving people blow jobs in the aisles.

I will be pulling a lady from the audience who is blowing her boyfriend too audibly and forcibly making her part of my act and it will all devolve into me and her beau sploshing her on stage in front of a crowd of pervs and troma kids.

Super happy yummy fun,..
but more importantly I am going to try to premeir my fetish film series there later in the month,.. with clown performances between films by myself and my cohorts,..

Also,.. Gherkin and Brown the Vaudevillean Comedy Duo have their first ever now pow performance this saturday at dv8 in portland,.. where we will do our entire 10 joke repetroire, uncensored to a drunken nightclub crowd.

This is our first ever stand up gig,..so wish us well.

Today's Troma event

The show went great today with lloyd and the troma gang,..
And clowns were covered in shaving cream and forced to deep throat balloon animal balloons, amongst other entertainments like troma films a seminar from mr. lloyd kaufman and a glory hole puppet show.

All in all a good night,.. culminating in my opinion with Knotty Klown! (that's me) beating the living crap out of a mustachioed riot cop center stage when he tried to stop the show.
